The short version. Sign in to Canvas Scout, open Settings, then General, then Delete account. Type your email and password to confirm, and it's deleted right away. Can't sign in? Email us and we'll do it for you.
Delete it yourself
- Sign in at app.canvasscout.com, or open the Canvas Scout app on your phone.
- Open the account menu (your picture or initial, top right), then Settings.
- On the General tab, scroll to Delete account.
- Type your email address and your password to confirm, then press Delete account permanently. If you signed up with Apple or Google in the phone app, type DELETE instead and confirm with Apple or Google; deleting also ends your Sign in with Apple.
It happens at once: you're signed out, and we email you to confirm.
Owners and teammates
- An account owner deletes the whole account: the map, notes, visits, photos, follow-ups, routes and every login on the team.
- A teammate (or an owner when another owner remains) can delete just their own login. The team's map and notes stay with the team, and notes you wrote keep your name.
Your plan
If a plan or trial is still active, it ends at the same moment and nothing more is charged. Refunds follow our Refund Policy: for example, an annual plan deleted within 30 days of its charge gets the unused time back if you ask us.
Can't sign in?
Email hello@canvasscout.com from the email address on your account, with the subject “Delete my account.” We'll confirm it's you (usually by replying to that address) and delete the account within 30 days, usually much sooner, then email you when it's done.
What we keep
- The record that you signed up and agreed to our Terms (date, version and IP address), which the law expects us to keep for subscriptions.
- Invoices and billing records held by our payment processor, Stripe, for as long as tax law requires (up to 7 years).
- The 90-day log of emails we sent you, and our own record of who deleted the account and when.
- Reports you sent about AI answers, notes or photos, without the link to your account (deleted after 2 years).
- Backup copies of our database (on our server, our office computer and Cloudflare), which are replaced on rolling cycles, so the account is gone from every backup within 30 days.

Remove a business, not an account
If you own a business that appears in Canvas Scout and want it removed, or just your own name and contact details taken off, you don't need an account. See Remove or correct a business listing.
