Find businesses without websites near you.
Every local business in your area on one map, with the ones that have no website, a site that’s down, or only a Facebook page at the top. Checked every night.
Free account, no card needed: 20 real businesses in your area on your own map.
The easiest websites to sell.
A busy restaurant with hundreds of reviews and no website already has the customers. What it’s missing is a page that shows its menu, hours and phone number to the people searching for it. You don’t have to convince the owner the problem exists: you can show it to them on your phone in ten seconds.
The same goes for a site that won’t load, one with no security certificate that browsers warn people away from, or a Facebook page standing in for a website. In the Greater Cincinnati area we’ve mapped, thousands of open, independent businesses have no website at all.
How to find them yourself.
- Search Google Maps for one kind of business and your town, like “barber shop in Covington, KY”.
- Go down the list. A listing with no Website button has no site on file. Write it down.
- Open every site the others link to on your phone. Note the ones that don’t load, show a “not secure” warning, or send you to Facebook.
- Check that they’re worth it: open now, independent rather than a chain, with recent reviews.
- Repeat for every kind of business and every town you cover.
It works, but plan on an hour or two for each category in each town, and the list is out of date as soon as you finish it.
Every business in your territory, already checked.
Canvas Scout maps every independent business in your metro area or counties and checks each one’s website, reviews and Google profile when it builds your map, then checks the websites again every night.

Straight answers.
How do I find businesses without websites near me?
Search Google Maps for a type of business and your town, then go down the results: a listing with no Website button has no site on file. Open the sites the others link to on your phone to catch the ones that are down, not secure or just a Facebook page. Canvas Scout does this for every business in your area and puts the ones without a working website at the top of your map.
Is there a list of local businesses without websites?
Not a public one that stays current: businesses open, close and launch websites every week. Canvas Scout checks every business’s website when it builds your map and again every night, so the list on your map is current. A free account shows 20 of them in your area, with no card needed.
Why don’t some businesses have a website?
Most are busy owner-run businesses that get customers by word of mouth, Google Maps or Facebook, and never found the time or the right person to build one. That is exactly why they are good prospects for web designers and marketing agencies.
How do I pitch a business that has no website?
In person, and with their own listing: show the owner their Google profile on your phone, point out that people searching can’t see their menu, prices or booking, and show a simple site you built for a similar business nearby. Start with something small, like a one-page site or setting up their Google profile.
Can I try it first?
Yes. A free account costs nothing and needs no card: your map shows 20 real businesses in your area so you can try every tool, plus about how many businesses are in your whole territory. When you want more, start a 7-day trial from the map; you’re not charged during the trial.
