The short version. canvasscout.com sets no cookies at all. The app at app.canvasscout.com sets one cookie, and only after you sign in, to keep you signed in. We don't use analytics, advertising or social media trackers, so there's nothing to accept or decline.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website asks your browser to store. Some are needed for a site to work, like remembering that you're signed in. Others track you across sites for analytics or advertising. We only use the first kind.
Every cookie we use

This cookie is strictly necessary: without it, you'd have to sign in on every page. Laws that require consent for cookies exempt strictly necessary ones, which is why we don't show a cookie banner.
Other things stored in your browser
- The app's map may keep recently viewed map images in your browser's cache so it loads faster. They contain no personal information.
- The marketing site stores nothing in your browser.
Third parties
- Fonts and scripts on canvasscout.com are served from our own servers, not from Google or other CDNs, so loading a page doesn't tell anyone else you visited.
- Map tiles in the app come from OpenFreeMap. Your browser requests them directly, which shares your IP address with OpenFreeMap. They don't set cookies.
- Payments, once paid plans open, happen on Stripe's secure pages. Stripe sets its own cookies there to prevent fraud, under Stripe's cookie policy.
Your choices
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block cs_session, you won't be able to stay signed in to the app. Blocking cookies doesn't affect canvasscout.com, since it doesn't use any. We also honor the Global Privacy Control signal; see our Privacy Policy.
If this changes
If we ever add analytics or other non-essential cookies, we'll update this page first and, where the law requires it, ask for your permission before setting them.
